Waterfire
A powerful work of art and a moving symbol of Providence's renaissance. WaterFire's one hundred sparkling bonfires can be seen from the paths of Waterplace Park and arched bridges along the river. Enjoy dinner at a nearby restaurant and enjoy the music and entertainment of these great events.

Newport International Film Festival
Week-long Film Festival in historic Newport, Rhode Island, features documentaries, shorts, feature-length films and animation.

Black Ships
The Black Ships Festival commemorates the historic achievements of Commodore Matthew C. Perry, USN, of Newport, Rhode Island. Events emphasize both Japanese art and culture and include Origami, Martial Arts, and a Japanese Tea Ceremony.

Newport International Boat Show
The annual Newport International Boat Show will feature new sailboats and powerboats, and thousands of products and services from both domestic and international exhibitors. Multiple waterfront facilities along America's Cup Avenue and Thames Street host the Show including Newport Yachting Center, Oldport Marine, Bannister's Wharf and Bowen's Wharf.

Pawtucket Red Sox
The Pawtucket Red Sox or PawSox are the minor league baseball Triple-A affiliates of the Boston Red Sox and belong to the International League. Come enjoy a home games at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. 

Bright Night 
Bright Night Providence is an artist-run arts oriented New Year's Eve Celebration. The festival features hundreds of performers in over 26 venues, along with a Water Fire, fireworks, and opening ceremonies.
